A Fruity Refreshment for Warm Days

These fruity raspberry yogurt popsicles are a wonderful refreshment for warm summer days and bring great joy to many children from the age of three. They provide valuable calcium from the yogurt and vitamins from the berries. The creamy texture melts gently in the mouth, making this recipe a true family favorite.

Ingredients

For about three to four servings, you will need:

  • 200 g fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 250 g plain yogurt (whole milk, organic if possible)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or agave nectar (optional, depending on fruit sweetness)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Wash the raspberries or let frozen berries thaw slightly.
  2. Puree the berries together with the lemon juice in a blender until a smooth mixture forms.
  3. Gently fold the plain yogurt and maple syrup into the raspberry puree to create a beautiful marbled effect.
  4. Pour the mixture into three to four small popsicle molds and insert the sticks in the center.
  5. Place the popsicles in the freezer for at least four hours until completely frozen solid.
  6. Before eating, hold the molds briefly under warm water so the popsicles release easily.

Variations & Tips

  • Fruity variety: Simply swap the raspberries for strawberries, blueberries, or peaches.
  • Storage: The popsicles keep easily in their molds in the freezer for up to three months.
  • For the whole family: Adults can stir a little finely chopped mint or a hint of vanilla into the yogurt mixture.
  • Adjusting texture: If your child dislikes small seeds, press the raspberry puree through a fine sieve before mixing.

Allergy & Safety Information

This recipe contains milk (yogurt), which is a common allergen. Always introduce new ingredients one at a time and in small amounts to easily observe any potential reactions. Make sure your child is seated comfortably while enjoying treats on a stick. If you have any uncertainties about diet or potential intolerances, it is best to speak with your pediatrician.

Nutritional Info

The plain yogurt provides plenty of calcium and valuable proteins, which are important for healthy growth. At the same time, the raspberries supply your child with vitamin C and essential dietary fiber. This combination makes a great snack that provides energy for active afternoons.
