Fruity Raspberry Yogurt Popsicles

Snacks2+y 250 min 4 VeggieEasy
Contains: Dairy

These fruity raspberry yogurt popsicles are a wonderful refreshment for warm summer days and are ideal for children aged three and up. They provide valuable calcium and vitamins while offering a pleasant, low-mess way to cool down. The simple preparation makes it fun to get creative in the kitchen together with your child.

Ingredients

  • 200 g raspberries (fresh or frozen, organic if possible)
  • 150 g plain whole milk yogurt
  • 1 tbsp agave nectar or maple syrup (optional, depending on the sweetness of the fruit)
  • Makes about 4 to 6 small popsicles (depending on mold size)

Preparation

  1. Wash the fresh raspberries or let frozen berries thaw completely.
  2. Puree the fruit in a blender or with an immersion blender until you have a fine mixture.
  3. Stir the plain yogurt and, if desired, the agave nectar into the raspberry puree until a smooth, creamy consistency is reached.
  4. Pour the yogurt mixture into clean popsicle molds and carefully insert the sticks.
  5. Place the popsicles in the freezer for at least four hours until they are completely frozen solid.
  6. Before eating, warm the mold slightly so the popsicle releases easily, and check the temperature on your wrist if your child is sensitive to very cold foods.

Variations & Tips

  • Different fruits: Simply swap the raspberries for strawberries, mango, or ripe peaches.
  • Storage: The popsicles keep perfectly in the freezer for up to three months.
  • Adjusting texture: For a chunkier version, you can leave a few berries whole or just mash them roughly with a fork.
  • Family tip: For adults, the mixture can be enhanced with a little finely chopped fresh mint or a splash of lemon juice.

Allergy & Safety Information

  • This recipe contains dairy (yogurt), which is a common allergen.
  • Always introduce new ingredients one at a time and in small amounts to easily observe any potential reactions.
  • When giving popsicles, ensure your child is sitting quietly while eating to prevent any risk of choking on the stick.
  • If you have any uncertainties about diet or potential allergies, it is best to speak with your pediatrician.

Nutritional Information

The raspberries in these popsicles provide plenty of vitamin C and valuable fiber, which support healthy digestion. The plain yogurt is an excellent source of calcium and protein, which is especially important for growing bones. This is an ideal combination that provides energy while refreshing the body on warm days.
