Preparation
- Cook the rice according to the package instructions in gently boiling water.
- Peel the onion and carrot, then cut them into very fine cubes. Cut the chicken breast fillet into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat. Gently sauté the onion and carrot until they are soft.
- Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and sauté briefly. Gradually pour in the chicken broth and cream while stirring with a whisk until a smooth, creamy sauce forms.
- Add the chicken pieces and frozen peas to the sauce. Let everything simmer gently over low heat for about 10 to 12 minutes until the meat is fully cooked.
- Season the sauce mildly with a pinch of nutmeg, a splash of lemon juice, and the chopped parsley.
